My name is Anya Gladun. I moved to the United States from Russia in 2006 and have been tattooing since June of 2008.
 
I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. From an early age I would draw on myself and my friends with pens and markers, to their parents' dismay. Tattooing sort of landed in my lap in 2008, after a series of random jobs here in the US. Back home in Russia I was studying to become a teacher of English and German as a foreign language, but as passionate as I was about linguistics, my heart really still belonged to the visual arts.  Tattooing is everything to me and I could talk about it forever. I have never lost the sense of wonder and magic it has brought into my life, and I love to share my love for it with each client. 

I do custom work and work in many styles - neotraditional, Japanese, traditional, illustrative, I love it all. I enjoy both color and black and gray. Some of my favorite things to tattoo are flowers, animals, pet portraits, birds, lady heads... Really anything I'm allowed to have creative freedom with.
Every tattoo is I do is one of a kind and never repeated, drawn specifically for each person with their preferences in mind - oftentimes drawn on the body directly to ensure proper composition and flow.  ​​Communication is very important to me and I see tattooing as a collaborative, creative and oftentimes healing and exhilarating process for both myself and my client. You are not a "canvas" here, you are a person and a friend. My only goal here is to give you exactly the tattoo you want. I love custom work for this very reason. I also do have a large selection of predrawn designs you're welcome to check out in my Instagram in the "Available" highlight and inside a physical binder at the shop, I would love to tattoo any of those.
